Question by Pedro: What do I need to set my home voip phone? Please give me the details?
I want something inexpensive since I am never home. Therefore, vonage, which costs 20 bucks is not a option. I do want to have a local phone number.

Hey there Pedro,
There aren’t too many VoIP options for extremely cheap.
However, a lot of VoIP companies have 500 minutes/month (outgoing, unlimited incoming) for around $ 15.
Lingo or Phone Power would probably be your best choice.
Check out http://voip-reviewer.com and find a VoIP provider that suits your needs.
Hope that helps…

I would also look at callcentric and vbuzzer. You have to provide your own VOIP ATA but the service is good and very reasonable.
Another new start-up is future-nine and has a plan for $ 7+ a month. They loan you a VOIP ATA.
